The Berkeley-CEG Summer Select Program is a 6-week program designed for secondary school/high schools students and freshman year of college who are interested in intensive summer study at the wonderful UC Berkeley campus. The Program is renowned for its academic rigor, instructional excellence, and the unique opportunity to experience college life at UC Berkeley, while sampling the vibrancy of San Francisco. Students will also have opportunities to meet with representatives from the UC Berkeley Office of Undergraduate Admissions to discuss requirements and admissions process.

The Summer Select Program is designed for students who want an intensive learning experience. The program can help students begin to develop the skills and experience necessary for academic success in higher education.

Upon successful completion of program, students will receive college credits from UC Berkeley for the courses in which they have enrolled. Credits obtained through the Summer Select Program may be eligible for transfer to colleges and universities throughout the world. The Summer Select Program students take three UC Berkeley courses for a total of 8 units of transferable college credit. Students who demonstrate a high level of intellectual capacity through coursework may enhance their opportunity of being admitted to the Universities of their dreams.

Attending the Summer Select Program at UC Berkeley was one of the greatest experiences of my life. During my six weeks at Berkeley I matured and grew as a person. It helped me prepare for life away from home and my transition from a boy to a man.
