The Berkeley-CEG Summer Select Program is a 6-week program designed for students in secondary school/high schools or in the freshman year of college who are interested in intensive summer study at the wonderful UC Berkeley campus.

The Program is renowned for academic rigor, instructional excellence, and the unique opportunity to experience college life at UC Berkeley, while sampling the vibrancy of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

Students will also have opportunities to meet with representative from the UC Berkeley Office of Admissions to discuss requirements and admissions process.

The Summer Select Program is designed for students who want an intensive learning. The program can help students begin to develop the skills and experience necessary for academic success in higher education.

The Summer Select program is intended for students who want an intensive learning experience in subject areas such as science, social science, mathematics, humanities, and the arts. The program helps students develop the skills and experience necessary for academic success in higher education.

Upon successful completion of program, students will receive college credits from UC Berkley for the courses in which they have enrolled. Credits obtained through the summer select program may be eligible for transfer to colleges and universities throughout the world.

The summer select program students take two courses through UC Berkeley Extension and Summer Sessions for a total of 6-8 units of transferable college credit. Students who demonstrate a high level of intellectual capacity through coursework may receive letters of recommendations from UC Berkeley instructors; these letters may enhance their opportunity of being admitted to the University of their dreams.

The summer select program takes place in a great social environment full of exciting recreational and cultural activities. Students have the opportunity to explore the vibrant and culturally rich city of Berkeley, including Telegraph Avenue and other areas surrounding the campus. We also dine out in Berkeley occasionally, and visit local cultural attractions.
